About the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board

Mission

The mission of the Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board is to promote the partnership between the Cottage Grove Police Department and citizens in support of a safe community, provide financial support for equipment, training, and programs to enhance safety, and provide crime prevention and safety information to the citizens.

The Board

The board itself is made up of citizen volunteers from various backgrounds, law enforcement representatives, and life members who work together to promote and achieve the mission of the board.  Board meetings are held at city hall the 2nd Monday of each month and events are held throughout the year.  Anyone of good character who is interested in promoting the mission of the board is eligible to submit a membership application to the board.  The board currently consists of 12 members.

The Cottage Grove Crime Prevention Board is a nonprofit organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
